A Few Things I am Loving Today

Hello Fashionistas....Here are a few things that I am LOVING

I adore HUE tights and they add interest to my legs with a variety of textures and colors to choose from.  These tights are AMAZING!  The quality of a HUE tight is by far superior than any tight I have ever worn.  These are my Winter staples in my wardrobe.  Most recently I have also purchased HUE leggings and I just DIE they are so comfortable.  Right now I have three pairs of HUE leggings:  basic black, chocolate brown corduroy and my recent purchase of the denim SKINNY JEANZ leggings.

 I wore these exact HUE Skinny Jeanz leggings Christmas Night with my Seed Stitched Drape Cardi from Talbots in Crimson, the Crimson Ruffle Swag Tee and a pair of Cognac Tall Boots.  These Leggings were incredible.  Not once did anyone ask if I had on leggings!  They actually looked like skinny denim jeans tucked into my boots.  The comfort of the elastic made for a pleasant evening. 

No worry of a muffin top from a too tight zipper and button!  My boojay was covered with my drape cardi and I have to say I felt like a million bucks!

Christmas Night 2011 at my Cousins home with their two daughters (precious young ladies)  My cousin Krystie said that Madyson (the one in the middle) should be my daughter because she is just like me.  Madyson is a little fashion diva!

As all of you know I adore clothes and gain lots of inspiration from style books, fashion blogs, magazines and other fashionistas like you.  Yes, You!  If you are reading my blog then you probably realize that style is more than just the clothes you choose.  As a true fashionista I find inspiration from other beautiful stylish women.  Style is about attitude, confidence...the whole package.  From the way we style our hair, our jewelry, makeup, accessories and our mannerisms.  Style stays with us but fashion fades.  Here is one of my favorite style books.

In Honor of Shop Your Closet

Hello Fashionistas.....

Oh My....where has the time gone?  It has been several months since my last blog entry.  So much has happened since August that my head is spinning with thoughts of where to begin.  I am a very fast typist but I don't think my fingers can keep up with my thought process.  Let's start....

At the end of July I decided to launch a public fashion page on facebook.  A place where I could invite other fashionable ladies to strut their stuff and show off their pretties.  Never in a million years did I realize that my idea of a fashion page would attract so many wonderful and beautiful women across the United States as well as some International contributors. 

The concept of shopping my own closet first before the retailers was weighing heavily on my mind.  I am a true Southern Shopaholic who adores all things pretty and my closet was busting at the seams with such delight and splendor.  I decided to take measures into my own hands and do what any GAW (Grown Arse Woman) would do!  Kicked my husband out of the master closet and began to organize my very own personal boutique. My thoughts of creating my own boutique would surely stop the madness of shopping the retailers!  Right?  Hahahahahahahaha.....so far the idea has not flourished into all things grandeur.  The theory is good though!  The results are yet unproven.  Stay tuned....where there is a will there has to be a way.  A way to the nearest sale before all good things in my size are sold out good and properly!

The vision of having my own personal boutique inside my home would truly give me the inspiration of Shopping My Closet.  I am a woman with a vivid imagination....my closet would be transformed into a boutique of hot pink walls, a crystal chandelier and an animal print rug.  Yes, this was my fashionable dream.  The dream needed to be shared with other like minded fashionistas.  I wanted to take this public.  The design of "Shop Your Closet" was launched and here we are today.

I wished I could take complete ownership in the launching of "Shop Your Closet".  However, without you as a contributor none of this would be happening.  You are a part of my success.  Thank you so very much!

Today I realized that since the launch of SYC I have abandoned my 40 and Madly Fabulous in Heels Blog.  I now have a platform to showcase my blog.  Instead of promoting my blog on the Talbots page I can promote it on SYC.  I am doing my boojay happy dance as I type. 

Wow....Tonya, why did you not think of this three months ago.  Honestly, I pour so much time into SYC that I don't have a lot of free time.  With that being said I am taking baby steps.  One blog entry per week is my goal.  Of course my big goal is to finish my boutique. 

The walls need to be adorned with hot pink, the ceiling needs to have its very own encrusted jewels bedazzled with a bling bling chandelier.  Lastly my perfectly polished toes need to stand on an animal print rug.  awwwww.....I can imagine the outcome!  Then maybe I can even purchase a tripod?  Okay, lets not pull the buggy before the horse but I will get there.  Hollywood here I come.

Speaking of Hollywood...I have met some wonderful stars along the way of launching SYC.  I hope not to leave anyone off the A list but here I go....
